| fab is a bi-monthly magazine which launched in March 2012. Our mission is to create a support system providing all the information a new business start up needs, recognise and share the success stories of eminent women in business, thereby inspiring other businesses run by women.
Issue 6 is now on the stands for sale in WHSmiths and independent stores all over UK. The magazine is also available in US, Canada, New Zealand, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Singapore and India.

The Sound of Mobile Silence
I have recently overcome a mobile phone dependency issue.
Having suspected for some time that this small device had taken over my life, I
decided to take a break from my laptop and take a walk on the local common,
deliberately leaving my phone behind.
Close encounters with a professional declutterer
Coffee, tea, sugar and caramel syrup. A wine glass. Hair serum. A camera. Glass beads. Cosmetics purse. This is a snapshot of what’s on my work desk at the moment, alongside the obligatory piles of paper and a printer. A box of matches (and I don’t smoke). A dummy (and I definitely don’t have any children).

The government has recently announced that they’re going to extend child care vouchers to self-employed people in order to give the economy a bit of a boost by encouraging more start-ups. This sounds like good news, right? More financial support to mumpreneurs and dadpreneurs?
